FILLOAD manufacture and supply two types of Floating Suction Unit of Series FDB-II. Double Suction Arm (FDB-231 and Single Suction Arm (FDB-221). The following (FDB-221/FDB-II) is the single arm version. This is the ideal solution for where the height of the tank is less than its diameter. The floating suction assembly Is designed to draw fuel roughly 500mm below the fluids surface. This ensures suction of the purist fuel without obtaining the contamination of particles and scum which is often gathered at the surface of the tank. Subject to the size of the tank that the floating suction unit is needed, a leg is then set to stop the floating suction from drawing fuel near the bottom of the tank where it may contain ontaminated water. This allows for a longer life to the water separator cartridges and increases their efficiency. An optional addition is a fixed or floating roof. When a floating suction unit is required for a tank with a floating roof a trolley system is used instead of floats at the top of the unit. This means as the roof drops and rises the trolley effectively runs across the roof of the tank.
